General Background
Sharbiv aims to provide an optimal website user experience for all, including persons with disabilities. We invested extensive efforts to enable, facilitate and streamline use of the website, emphasizing the needs of persons with disabilities.
Website accessibility was implemented to the AA level in conformance with Israel Standard 5568 which is based on the international standard WCAG 2.0.
How accessibility is reflected on the website
- Keyboard-only navigation and easy identification of the area in focus.
- Change of color contrast (dark background color).
- Stop and start buttons for galleries.
- Highlighted links (activated when color contrast is changed).
- Change of text color and background color for persons with a visual impairment and persons who are color blind (activated when color contrast is changed).
- Textual description of pictures and icons for assistive technologies.
- Accessibility of menus, forms, heading hierarchy, tab component, pop-up windows and more.
- Website map for easy and quick access to the different website pages.
- Accessibility statement with information about compatibility, gaps and the accessibility coordinator.
Accessibility adjustment was tested using aids such as different screens and devices, and included use of assistive technologies such as a screen reader (NVDA).

How to use the accessibility add-on
The accessibility add-on is always active and no special action is required to activate it.
Clicking the change color button on the add-on changes the background color, changes the text color and highlights links.
Navigate using the keyboard by using the TAB button to skip to different content areas.
